And, Q The Music! The Q continuum are an awesome “Trek” antagonist. This week SciFiPulse published The Return of Q, in response to exciting news that John de Lancie will feature in the next series of Picard. Previous “Trek” poems from May The Verse Be With You include “Regulation Early Deaths (REDS)“, the very first poem we ever published, as well as Christmas special, “Cold as the Worf Pole.

Q The Music

Q – such naughty,

impish cheek,

administered mischievously

Q – the godly,

plays with fate,

arranging lives amusingly

Q – suddenly

interfered,

blamed Picard for humanity

Q – the mighty,

Q – the smug,

Q – without humility

Then Q – shockingly –

met Sisko,

and soon got dealt a body blow!

Hopefully we’ve captured the spirit of John de Lancie, as Q, who remains a firm fan favourite. We thought that a “Q” might have appeared in last season’s Discovery episode, Terra Firma Part 1. But “Karl” turned out to be The Guardian of Forever. So, Q will be making a return to live action “Trek”, following a cameo in Star Trek: Lower Decks episode Veritas. Enjoy Q The Music, dear readers!
