‘The Point of Snow Return’ celebrates the much loved central character in The Snowman (1982). Hard to believe, but the wonderful, magical animated feature is now 40 years old! SciFiPulse published The Snowman: At 40 earlier this week. The feature discusses the legacy of the story brought to the screen, based on the story by Raymond Briggs.
Point of Snow Return
The Snowman is
now forty turned,
a story that’s
on our soul burned
From pureness the
being was made,
from memory
will never fade
An idea
born out of play,
product of a
magical day
up from the Earth
into the skies
in one short night
he lives and dies
Much more than just
childhood themes,
a fable of
life, death and dreams
As we head into 2023 The Snowman will enter it’s 41st year! It seemed from the very that start of that the animated short was destined to go beyond the point of snow return . . . This completes this year’s festive editions of weekly Friday fun,. But don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of regular editions coming to you in 2023! Take care dear readers!
