Synopsis: In All is Lost Clark and Lois disagree on the best way to figure out if Ally Allston went to the Inverse World. Meanwhile, John Henry makes a surprising discovery and Lois sets out to track Lucy down.
Picking the story up from last week. Ally Allston is now merged and is somehow able to drain Superman of his powers. However, she no longer has the pendant so isn’t able to merge with other people of the two Earths as easily as she once could. Thinking that Ally is on the inverse world. Lois and her father make one last attempt to reach out to Lucy and get her away from Ally’s influence.
Meanwhile, Clarke takes Jordon out for the day to help him learn to Fly. However, the father and son moment creates a little tension with Jordan’s brother Jonathon who would have liked to have tagged along.
Having caught up with Lucy. Lois and her dad struggle to convince her to go with them, but then Ally turns up and shows her true colors and nearly Kills General Lane and then pretty much drains Superman of his powers. Seemingly, all is lost.
We get some solid acting this week and some nice moments. Tyler Hoechlin and Alex Garfin do a great job of selling the father-to-son moment of Clark teaching Jordan how to fly. It’s a moment made that bit more poignant by what happens to Clark aka Superman by the end of the episode.
Not a bad episode, which mostly sets out the table for what will be the last run of episodes for this season. Ally Allston has made her statement by stripping Superman of his powers and is now trying to merge this Earth with the inverse one. Meanwhile, with Superman out of the picture. It is going to be down to John Henry, Lois, Jonathan, and Jordan to try and stop Allston. But how will they do it is the key question that the writers need to answer.
