Synopsis: In ‘The Legend of the Murder Hotel’ Nancy is approached by a group of young girls asking for help in finding a volleyball teammate they believe was kidnapped by a ghost. Meanwhile, Ace and Amanda share a moment.

The Story

It’s Nancy’s first day working for her dad, but the job is not as fun as she thought it might be. Thankfully the monotony gets broken when she is approached by some young girls who have lost their volleyball teammate. The girls think that their friend was taken by a ghost during a hazing. So, off Nancy goes to the Breaker Hotel, which has a history of hauntings. But are they real hauntings or just staged for the tourist?

As the investigation gets going. Nancy asks Ace to somehow get hold of the security camera feed for the hidden service corridors within the Hotel. To their shock. The Drew crew sees George taking the young girl. Which forces George to reveal that she has been possessed by the spirit of Odette Lamar and can’t get rid of the spirit.

Elsewhere, Nick and Ryan are beginning an investigation into the murky history behind the Hudson family business. But it’s an investigation that could pose danger for Nancy given that she is now an heir to the Hudson family fortune.

The Acting

We get some pretty decent performances in this episode. Alex Saxon puts in a rather fun performance as a somewhat exasperated Ace who is struggling to babysit the young teenagers. There’s a funny moment where he catches one of them trying to make pancakes in the oven and says, “Who raised you”.  Additionally, we learn that one of the Volleyball team members is Amanda Bobbsey who is played by Aadila Dosani. We last saw this character in ‘The Search for the Midnight Wraith’. In this episode, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) gets a nice scene with Amanda Bobbsey in which she is advising her.

Overall

This was an okay episode, but it’s slightly below par on what we have seen in recent weeks. I enjoyed the brief comedic moments with the group of teenage girls swooning somewhat over Ace. I also enjoyed the partnership of Nick and Ryan as they try to find more dirt about the Hudson estate.

The reveal of George being possessed was handled quite well. And we get a great twist involving Bess at the close of the episode.

Overall. Not too bad. But not the best episode we have had thus far.
