Trek celebrities enjoy the Anton Yelchin Photography Exhibit

Fellow Star Trek celebrities and friends came out to view, support and celebrate the late Anton Yelchin's Visual Art and photographic passion in support of the Anton Yelchin Foundation.

This past Saturday November 5, 2016, friends, fellow celebrities and family members of the late Anton Yelchin, perhaps best known to genre fans for his portrayal of Pavel Checkov in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, gathered at the ‘Other Gallery’ in Los Angeles  to experience another artistic side to the much loved and versatile actor, which few others apart from those close to the actor may have been aware of.

Yelchin it seems also had an eye and passion for the visual arts as a photographer, with 40 photographic images of his being privately exhibited at this past Saturday’s Anton Yelchin Photography Exhibit. Interestingly his style has been described as ‘experimental, provocative and surrealist’, with the show itself having opened to the public this past Monday November 7th and remaining open to public through December 31st, 2016.

While celebrities such as Dakota Fanning, her sister Elle Fanning, Demi Moore and Susan Sarandon also attended the celebrated actor’s photography exhibit, several well known and loving members of Yelchin’s Star Trek family also visited the Exhibit opening to appreciate their friends work, including Chris Pine (Cpt. Kirk), and John Cho (Lt. Sulu) along with Trek and Star Wars director, J.J.Abrams.

Proceeds from the exhibit will go to the Anton Yelchin Foundation, which strives to empower children and filmmaking students.
