Star Wars: Possible Reasons For Luke Skywalkers Exile Revealed

History was written by the losers.

Since the initial movie poster and most the trailers have been released there has been one person noticeably absent or merely just glimpsed in the trailers and that is Luke Skywalker.

Its an absence that has had fan speculation running rife with theories that Luke has turned to the Dark Side or that his power became so strong that he put himself in exile for fear of breaking bad.

EW have posted new information that may shed some light on why Luke hasn’t featured strongly in the trailers and its basically because History was written by the losers.

John Boyega who plays Fin in the new film revealed that Stormtrooper’s are raised from childhood to believe that Luke was the evil force responsible for the destruction of the Empire at the close of ‘Return of the Jedi’.

Which suggests that the propaganda generated by the remnants of the Empire forced Luke Skywalker into exile.

This would be fairly consistent with Star Wars movies of the past.

If we set our minds back both Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda chose exile in order to keep from harms way during the original trilogy.

All will be revealed when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits cinemas on December 17 in the UK and December 18 in the US.
