If you are among those fans who thing Captain Phasma’s Armour was designed specifically with Gwendoline Christie in mind. You can think again.
In a recent interview with EW the ‘Game Of Thrones’ star revealed that the Armour that Christie wears in the film was originally meant for Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren character.
“I wish I could say to you, ‘Oh, but of course, the entire thing was designed specifically for me. If only that were true – if only!”
For the film Kylo Ren’s look was changed to have him wearing a hood over a cowl, which has a menacing mouth-toaster look, which is likely a tip of the hat to his hero Darth Vader.
In a related note J.J. Abrams talked about casting a woman in the role of Captain Phasma.
“I just thought it would be really cool if we could find someone to play the part who was female.”
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ hits cinemas on December 17.
