Who knew that the leading space hero and heart throb of the reimagined Star Trek franchise Chris Pine who portrays space legend Captain James T. Kirk, could also sing!? But apparently sing he can as the world renowned Barbara Streisand invited Pine to sing not one but two Broadway duets with her on her thirty fifth album entitled, “Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway“.
Steisand’s new album was recently released on August 26 of this year as a Target exclusive release, with Pine joining actress, singer, producer and activist Barbara Streisand in singing a beautiful medley of “I’ll Be Seeing You” and My Fair Lady‘s “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face“.
As if that were not amazing enough however, Streisand has teamed up with over a dozen well known actors to include an impressive number of science fiction and genre personalities such as Star Wars newcomer Daisy Ridley and Anne Hathaway singing “At the Ballet’. The X-Men’s Hugh Jackman also joined Streisand to sing “Any Moment Now“.
Ted creator and director Seth MacFarlane also joined Streisand to sing “Pure Imagination“, with Jamie Foxx singing “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” with the legendary Streisand and even Antonio Banderas joining the ever beautiful Streisand in singing “Take Me To The World.”
This latest album sounds like quite an amazing team effort and Trek fans throughout the galaxy should check out their favorite reimagined Starfleet Captain as he sings with the Barbara Streisand on her latest album.
