The Films That Rock youtube channel has released all its coverage of the various Star Trek panels, including news of a new live-action comedy series in the works. Sadly there wasn’t any mention of Star Trek: Legacy, which is a show that many fans are hoping for. Indeed there have been lots of none development with regards to Legacy since we reported on rumours released by the Sci Trek Youtube Channel, whose sources claimed we’d likely be hearing by now about Legacy. However, since that report was released people working on the various shows have pretty much stated that there has not been any movement on a Legacy series, which is very sad and quite short-sighted of Paramount given that a bigger part of the fan base wants that show than those who wanted Strange New Worlds. The question remains. Will we at some point see a Star Trek Legacy series or not?
So with that bit of fluff out of the way. You can now check out all the Trek Panels from Comic-Con below.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Panel
Strange New Worlds stars Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck along with Star Trek Universe producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman took to the stage to share some insights about season 3 of the series, which will drop at some point in 2025. Akiva Goldsman who created the series made mention of a Hollywood Mystery story that will make up the theme for one of the new episodes, which Jonathan Frakes will be directing. While Rebecca Romijin said we’ll be getting to see a more lighthearted version of Una in the new season.
You can check out more of what was shared in the 20-minute panel below.

With all the current Live Action Star Trek out of the way. We now move on to the animated series Lower Decks, which is going into its final season. This panel included Twney Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noel Wells, Jerry O Connell, Mike Mcmahan ,and Alex Kurtzman.
When talking about the final season they all said that its the best they’ve ever done, but jokingly said that they pretty much say that about every season. You can check out everything that was said below.
New Live-Action Trek Show
Twney Newsome took to the stage again and was joined by Just Simien and Alex Kurtzman to talk about a new live-action Star Trek series they are working on, which will take on the format of a half-hour sitcom. You can watch the announcement in full below.
According to a report in Deadline the show is set on a resort where the daily routines of the staff are being live cast across all the Federation. Personally, I’m taking a hard pass at this one.
