SDCC 2016 American Gods Panel

Ian McShane, Ricky Whittle and Neil Gaiman totally rock the American Gods panel.

Cable Network Starz have brought us some brilliant shows in recent years and continue to do so. And this year looks like it could be another great show with the launch of ‘American Gods’ based on the Neil Gaiman books.

This weekend Starz had an impressive presence at the San Diego Comic Con and hosted a fantastic panel for the new series.

Featured on the panel were Executive Producers Brian Fuller, Michael Green, David Slade, cast members Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Pablo Schreiber, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki and writer of the book series Neil Gaiman.

The series, which is based on the books sees Gaiman working on the show as a consulting executive producer. And we learn that the idea for books, which the series is spawned from all started when Neil Gaiman travelled to San Diego Comic Con for the first time.

American Gods is a blend of Americana, fantasy, and various strands of ancient and modern mythology, all centering on the mysterious and taciturn Shadow.

The panel also saw the reveal of Kristin Chenoweth who will play the role of Easter.
