EVANSVILLE, IN – The fast growing collection of online original series and movies is about to grow a little more with the addition of a new series from the Midwest.

Alien Jungle Bug Productions is proud to announce the premiere of REALITY ON DEMAND, a new web series packed with action and humor, on January 18th, 2012. A mix of experienced actors and relative unknowns will help bring to life this new, independent TV series that follows four strangers testing an advanced virtual reality game world composed of their favorite television shows and movies. But when they become trapped, a fun adventure takes a dangerous turn where cancellation means death.

The series will initially premiere on its own Web site, http://RealityOnDemandSeries.com, as well as on Blip.tv, iTunes, and SciFiPulse.net.

“REALITY ON DEMAND is packed with action, laughs, visual effects, and… a few zombies. Everyone knows you can’t have a web series without zombies,” said series creator and director Marx Hernandez Pyle. “And, most importantly, the show has great characters It’s a nice blend of comedy and drama. Once you’re done watching season one, you’ll keep wanting to follow the adventures of these characters and learn more about this crazy virtual world, which is a blend of television and film. Will these very different strangers be able to work together to survive this very dangerous game? And what secrets are waiting to be revealed?”

The series was filmed in and around Evansville, Indiana, during the summer and early fall of 2011. Since then, Pyle and Alien Jungle Bug collaborators Julie Hernandez Seaton and Jarrod Moschner have been working to fine-tune the series into the exciting experience that will begin thrilling viewers later this month.

“We can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been working on,” Pyle said. “We have an extremely talented cast. Some may be familiar to those who follow indie filmmaking in Indiana and Kentucky, but soon the whole world will get to know these talented actors and the characters they portray.”

Julie Hernandez Seaton (Daylight, Three Tears on Blood Stained Flesh) stars as Courtney Thompson, a struggling writer with a secret. Kevin Roach (Three Tears on Blood Stained Flesh) stars as Nick Jacobs, an uber-geek computer programmer, who is obsessed with TV and movies. Kathlin Finn (Reality) stars as Kelli Hartz, a wannabe celebrity looking for her big break. And Aric Dylon Stanish (Silence of the Belle) stars as Trevor Clay, a war veteran who is focused on winning.

They are joined by experienced actors Jim Dougherty (Scalene, Leach, Fire From Below), Louie Lawless (The Creepy Doll, My Bloody Wedding), and Evansville Civic Theatre’s Christopher P. Tyner.

Many of the actors portray fictional characters in the game, whose inspirations will be easily recognizable to fans of genre television.

“We have nods to many shows in the series. I don’t want to give away too much, but if you are a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Grey’s Anatomy, or Supernatural, then you’ll want to check out season one. But there are nods to many more shows and genres than just those,” hinted Pyle.

Pyle, a Vancouver Film School graduate, has also gathered together talent behind the camera with graduates from New York Film Academy, Full Sail University, Ivy Tech and University of Evansville.

While the series’ initial premiere will be contained to http://RealityOnDemandSeries.com, as well as Blip.tv, iTunes, and SciFiPulse.net, it will quickly expand out to other distributors like Boxee, tiVo, Roku, Hulu, and more. Plans then include expansion to other windows of distribution, including film festivals and a Season 1 DVD.

Alien Jungle Bug Productions is just warming up. Already, they are writing season two for REALITY ON DEMAND, plus they will co-produce another web series, THE BOOK OF DALLAS, from writer Joe Atkinson. They are also more quietly working on a documentary and developing a feature film. But Pyle is quick to point out that he has many more stories to tell in the setting of REALITY ON DEMAND, with an action packed three seasons planned, and a willingness to do more if viewers want more.
