‘Punisher’ Could Get His Own Netflix Series

Now it looks like we could see a 'Punisher' series happen on Netflix if the character is well received when fans see him on the 'Daredevil' series.

A couple of months back news broke that Jon Bernthal would guest star in the second season of ‘Daredevil’ when Netflix premier the show next year.

Now it looks like we could see a ‘Punisher’ series happen on Netflix if the character is well received when fans see him on the ‘Daredevil’ series.

Netflix Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, has now said of a ‘Punisher’ solo series: “It is possible for sure. That’s the beauty of the Marvel universe.”

Speaking at Netflix’s event at the TCA Summer Press Tour (via IGN), he added that there is also potential for Netflix’s Marvel universe to “spin out into films too”.

Rosario Dawson who will return full time to ‘Daredevil’ in the second series has promised that the war between Daredevil and Punisher will be “super dope.”

Earlier this month, Elodie Yung was confirmed to play iconic anti-hero Elektra in season two, which is expected to arrive on Netflix in 2016.
