Patrick Wilson cast as Aquaman’s Ocean Master

Half brother to the aquatic king Aquaman may prove to be a pivital role in the upcoming film.

Fans of DC’s Extended Universe have yet another fun piece to fit into the emerging DC cinematic puzzle with the recent news that Patrick Wilson, who is no stranger to the cinematic comic world, has been cast opposite Jason Momoa in the upcoming DC Super Hero movie, Aquaman.

Wilson will be playing the role of Ocean Master, who is Aquaman’s half-brother, Orm Cury, the jealous sibling turned super villain who uses technology to create his own super powers and challenge his King-of-the-sea brother. Wilson has previously played the super hero Nite Owl in Zack Snyder’s 2009 comic adaption of Alan Moore’s hit DC graphic novel, Watchmen.


Aquaman is set to debut in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018 with Jason Momoa, also appearing in the DCEU’s 2017 Justice League, as the underwater hero. Aquaman also stars Amber Heard as Aquaman’s Queen under the sea Mera, William Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and Michael K. Williams as the Black Manta, with James Wan directing.
