Doctor Strange 2

Doctor Strange 2 (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) is out in May this year! The excitement for it has been cranked up even further, by something very cool in the new trailer. In their feature on the new Doctor Strange 2 trailer, Digital Spy pointed out on Sunday 13th February 2022 a potential link. They said “at around the 1:19 mark, someone’s voice can be heard saying: “You should tell him the truth” as an imprisoned Strange is brought in front of them. Now, we have no solid evidence to back it up, but it sounds to us a lot like Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), creator of the X-Men“. That would be incredible! So, what does SciFiPulse make of this, then? . . .

Likelihood?

Following events in Spider-man: No Way Home (2021), which we reviewed, anything now seems possible now! Consequently, there’s every chance this could indeed happen. Furthermore, we also know that actors denying rumors means nothing at all! Digital Spy also reminded us of “the first MCU/X-Men crossover when Evan Peters turned up as Quicksilver in WandaVision“. Although, they did state that “turned out to be just an excellent piece of stunt casting“. They went on  to also remind us that: “Stewart has also previously spoken about the possibility of appearing in the MCU, telling Digital Spy back in 2020 that there had been “moves and suggestions, which include Charles Xavier” in conversations with Kevin Feige”. Incredibly, that ties in with other news about Sir Patrick Stewart . . .

Patrick Stewart Availability

Yesterday, SciFiPulse gave our view on Season 3 of Picard being the last. Whist many may feel the decision was mostly to do with Sir Patrick Stewart’s age, we rightly pointed out that may not be the case. Stewart is still a very active actor. So, he may well yet want to return to the character of Charles Xavier. The role had also been an important one for the much loved, incredible actor. Now we know that Picard will definitely end after Season Three, that should mean Stewart is available. Recently, we did state, in MCU Wider Implications following Spiderman: No Way Home, that so much is now possible! Hopefully, we’ll be seeing Sir Patrick in May, then!
