Midi-Chlorians Won’t Feature In ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Abrams says no to Midi-Chlorians

One of the many things that caused a bit of of stir in the ‘Star Wars’ prequel trilogy apart from the over reliance on CGI and the irritating Jar Jar Binks was the mention of midi-chlorians, which were George Lucas’s attempt at creating a scientific explanation for why Jedi Knights and members of the sith possessed such abilities.

In a recent video interview, which is included below the films director J.J. Abrams answered a series of rather silly questions for MTV about ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and confirmed that the infamous midi-chlorians would not feature in the new film.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in US and UK cinemas on December 18, 2015.
