Sky's The Limit

“The Sky’s The Limit” is a tribute to Phileas Fogg. Contrary to popular belief, he didn’t ever go up in a big balloon. Last week we published Bursting The Balloon Myth, which concerned this. If you’re a fan of the new adaptation, and have been watching it, you can read our episode reviews now. It’s great to see David Tenant (The Doctor, of course!!) playing the famous literary adventurer.

Sky’s The Limit

The whole thing started by a bet,

but would it all end in regret?

Around the world in eighty days,

and by so many different ways . . .

By horse and cart, by train and ship

went Phileas on his great trip.

Whilst on the way to the far east

he also travelled by great beast;

and elephant was used to take

him on the journey he must make!

Passepartout too was also there,

but neither ever went by air . . .

A big balloon was never used,

 and so, by land and sea they cruised!

Whilst the sky’s the limit, that didn’t stop them. Yes, them! We must also give praise to Passepartout. We feel that the character of Passepartout is worthy of a series of his own. We recently published a feature, stating the case for a Passepartout series. We’re not sure it will happen, but we do hope so! Have a tremendous week dear readers, and see we’ll see you all down here on Earth, next Friday!
