Predators certainly love playing ‘hide and seek’. You can see that in the latest instalment from the franchise, Prey (2022) which we recently reviewed. We thought it was about time that the legendary creature was paid homage to (we don’t want them upset . . . Most people will always associate Arnold Schwarzenegger with the deadly hunter.
Hide and Seek
Here’s why it’s hard to survive:
The Predator hides in plain sight
If you manage to stay alive
you must have tried with all your might
They easily blend in with trees
and sometimes can’t be seen at all
Viewing the beast can make you freeze
you are so shocked they are so tall!
With weaponry that’s super cool
the creature stalks and takes out prey;
to kill it first’s the golden rule,
or you won’t see another day . . .
go one on one, the outcome’s bleak,
it’s just too good at hide and seek!

Amber Midthunder does a wonderful job in her role in Prey). It was brilliant to see a new direction for the franchise, and a wonderful film. This week’s poem was inspired by Prey, above all. SciFiPulse is also fond of Predator (1987), and Predator 2 (1991). However, we’re not keen on the movies since then. Take care readers, see you all next Friday!
