Jude Law In Negotiations For ‘Knights of the Roundtable’

According to Variety, he'll be playing the villain in the Warner Brothers' King Arthur story.

Jude Law, who is perhaps best known for films such as ‘The Holiday’ and the remake of ‘Alfie’ is in talks for a role in Guy Richie’s take on the legend of King Arthur in ‘Knights Of The Roundtable’.

According to Variety, he’ll be playing the villain in the Warner Brothers‘ King Arthur story.

The film has already cast ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ and ‘Pacific Rim’ star Charlie Hunnam in the role of Arthur and Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Guinevere.

Joby Harold has penned the script, but the plot is being kept under wraps, though it’s possible that the story will be told over six films.

Idris Elba was originally lined up to play Bedivere, a confidant of Arthur’s father who mentors the younger knight as he prepares for battle, but a deal could not be reached.
‘Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur’ will be released on July 22, 2016.
Richie’s next big movie project is the movie adaptation of popular sixties spy series ‘The Man From Uncle,’ which will star Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill.
