The identity of the fourth Doctor that is to feature in Titans comic book even ‘The Four Doctor’, which is to be written by Paul Cornell has been revealed as The War Doctor, who was played brilliantly in the 50th anniversary ‘Day Of The Doctor’ by John Hurt.
The War Doctor will be joining Peter Capaldi, Matt Smith and David Tennant’s incarnations of the much loved timelord.
Titan’s three ongoing Doctor Who series will go on hiatus for the storyline before relaunching after what is promised to be a “blistering finale”.
2013’s ‘The Day of the Doctor’ unveiled Hurt’s version of the Time Lord, filling in the gap between Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston’s incarnations and revealing more about Gallifrey’s Time War.
The first issue of Doctor Who: Four Doctors will be released on August 12, ahead of Doctor Who Comics Day on Saturday, August 15.
