Jemima Rooper says season two of ‘Atlantis’ will be edgier and more adult

"I enter around episode eight," she revealed.

A new interview with ‘Atlantis’ cast member Jemima Rooper has confirmed the early reports that ‘Atlantis,’ which begins its second season in the winter will have a darker and more adult feel.

While talking to Digital Spy Rooper revealed that she will return as Medusa quite late on in the second series of the show.

“I enter around episode eight,” she revealed. “You’re going to see a short but hard burst of her this series.”

The actress added that viewers will see “a good progression” from the first series, which aired on BBC One in late 2013.

“It seems to be that it’s taking a more adult turn, and it’s getting darker,” she teased. “All the stakes are bigger.”

Series two of Atlantis has been filming in Wales since earlier this year.

Last month it was revealed that ‘Atlantis’ will possibly have a post watershed time slot here in the UK. Meaning it would not likely be airing until 9PM or after.
