Synopsis: Behind every haunted house story there stands one original, terrifying house – and that’s where the librarians are headed.
Review: I have to admit when reading the synopsis for this episode. My expectations were not really too high.
I’m not really a big fan of the horror genre. Its one of those genres that I can pretty much take or leave.
That said this episode wasn’t the disappointment I thought it was going to be.
There was character development aplenty for all four of the main characters, but out of all of them it seems to be Cassandra that came out of it with the most growth.
The twist on the haunted house genre was also a lot of fun.
Basically the story sees a magic house being corrupted by a family of serial killers, but seemingly only one of these killers is still alive to make use of and take advantage of the house, which its original intent was to address the needy.
This was a pretty good episode, but it also seemed to be a little bit of a departure from the comedic antics we have seen in previous stories. The tension of the group as they entered the house was really done well and was fantastic how much our expectations are played with by the writers.
All that said there is still a little bit of comedy when we see Ezekiel playing on a games console because he has seemingly sussed out the house’s power.
The storyline borrows much from classic horror tales such as house on haunted hill, but we also see a small reference to the scream movies.
We get some fun action from Baird who is so edgy throughout that she is just dying to shoot something.
With only two episodes left of this show to air I am really hoping that we hear news on whether of not the series has earned itself a second season soon.

- Great character development
- Haunted house theme wasn't my thing
- Story7.5
- Acting9.5
- Incidental Music9.5

I loved the Cassandra development. Fingers crossed for renewal.
Loved This episode and i have them all.. this one was cast with an awesome little actress who just nailed her role (forget her name tho oops) Christian Kane rocks his role as #Stone! and the rest of the cast as well brought their A game to The Librarians ! Hoping for many seasons of this fun, wacky, zany but smart show! ♥ thanks!
You’ll not get any arguments from me about that. This series deserves a renewal.
