David Duchovny Still Up For Reviving ‘The X Files’

"[I'd be] more than happy and excited to bring it back"

David Duchovny is still hopeful of discovering the truth and reviving ‘The X – Files’, which is the show that pretty much made him a household name.

In a recent interview done during the TCA Press Tour the actor said he’d definitely be interested in reviving his role of Fox Mulder for a limited run series of the cult show.

“[I’d be] more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again with Gillian [Anderson] and Chris [Carter],” Duchovny told USA Today.

“I’m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We’ll see what form, how many [episodes].

“Certainly I can’t nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We’re all old, we don’t have the energy for a full season.”

In a recent interview that she did for the ITV This Morning program. Gillan Anderson, who played Dana Scully in the series speculated on the chances of a return for the show. “It’s always a matter of it actually happening – and there’s a lot that needs to happen between the idea and actually turning up on set, and I don’t unfortunately have any control over that.

“But would I do it? I would, yes.”

X-Files ran for an impressive nine seasons between 1993 and 2002 on FOX Network. The series spawned two theatrical movies and has recently been revived in comic book format through IDW Comics.
