Synopsis: In The Harbinger, The Batch’s plans for their next move get cut short when a mysterious stranger arrives.

The Story

Picking the story up from where last week left off. Hunter and Wrecker returned home after meeting with Fenec Shand, who promised them she would be in touch with any information she learned about why the empire was interested in Omega’s high M – Count. While she is playing in a cave Omega runs into Asajj Ventress who Fenec Shand has sent to investigate Omega. It turns out that the Empire thinks that Omega’s high M-Count could indicate that she is Force-sensitive. So in order to help Hunter and his team better understand. Asajj Ventress has been sent to test Omega for Midi-chlorians.

Although they do not trust Ventress Hunter and the team reluctantly agree to her spending time alone with Omega so she can better determine if the clone is force-sensitive.

The Voice Acting

Nika Futterman puts in a brilliant performance as Asajj Ventress who forms a quite good relationship with Michelle Ang’s Omega throughout the episode. The various tests that she has Omega do are quite fun to watch. Omega shows the same sort of impatience with them as a certain Luke Skywalker had in the original movie trilogy. I really enjoyed these two performances and would love to see these two characters spend time together in a future episode if that is possible.

This was a really good episode that built on the storyline and added a little more mystery to it. I loved how Ventress got used in this episode as both a teacher for Omega and a reluctant ally. Although it will be interesting to see how long that status lasts. Her warning to Hunter toward the end of the episode about them not being as safe as they think they are is rather ominous and a harbinger of things to come.

Overall. I can’t wait to see how all of this is going to play out in future episodes.
