Synopsis: In ‘Decommissioned’. While on a mission to acquire valuable asset, The Batch encounters smugglers after the same target.
The Story
When Cid sends the batch to Corellia in order to steal a tactical droid. Hunter and the team find that they’re not the only ones looking to steal the droid. As the team fights security to steal the droid they run into Trace and Rafa Martez who also want the droid. However when they all become pinned down. The Batch and the Martez sisters must work together in order to escape the facility’s security forces.
The Acting
It was nice to see a return for Brigitte Kali Canales and Elizabeth Rodriguez as Trace and Rafa Martez. Who are two characters that we saw in the final season of Clone Wars. Although this time around. It is rather ambiguous when it comes to who they are working for. So, it will be interesting to find out.
Dee Bradley Baker continues with his multiple roles and gets a bit of time to develop Echo a little more in this episode. I particularly enjoyed the start of the episode where Echo is teaching Omega how to shoot a laser bow. It is a scene that pays dividends by the close of the story as we see Omega’s skill with the weapon improve.
Overall
This was a pretty good episode that had plenty of action and also gave plenty of scope to put Omega in harm’s way for the 5th week running. I mean come on Bad Batch. You have to be the worst babysitters ever.
I really enjoyed seeing the Martez sisters brought back because we were only just getting to know them when they last appeared. And the best part about them as characters is the fact that they will basically take whichever side is willing to pay them. This makes them kind of interesting from a dramatic point of view.
Overall ‘Decommissioned’ delivers the goods.
