Synopsis: Oliver finds himself in a precarious situation. SCPD shows up with a warrant for Felicity.

Review: This week’s episode sees the team get trapped in a building that is falling down around them.

The Story

Picking up from where last week left off. The team has been trapped in a building, which Emiko has brown up. Oliver is separated from his team and trapped under a boulder where he is hallucinating and seeing his old friend Tommy Merlyn.

Elsewhere, Diggle, Black Canary, Mad Dawg and Arsenal are trying to make their way to Oliver and find a way out.

To make matters worse Emiko has released the subway surveillance footage to the SCPD, proving that Team Arrow was involved in the murder of the two security guards and the subsequent cover-up. Which leads to Sergeant Bingsley going after Felicity and the rest of the team.

In the flashforward sequences. Felicity is trying to figure out a way to put an end to Galaxy One’s corrupted version of her A.R.C.H.E.R. security system by tracking down the person her corrupted it.

The Acting

Stephen Amell scenes with Colin Donnell are really well performed and hark back to the shows the first season where Oliver was trying to break Tommy Merlyn free of the influence of his father. The back and forth of the two old friends owning up to their own worst and best tendency was really well written and makes thing wonder where things might have gone had Tommy actually survived the first season.

This was a pretty solid episode with lots of action and some great character development. I really enjoyed the scenes between Ollie and his old friend Tommy. But also enjoyed the fact that Roy gets a little bit of a redemption arc after him having been the one that killed the two guards while under the influence of a blood lust effect from having been resurrected from the dead.

Of course, Emiko gets away, but not before Team Arrow is able to intercept with her for a brief exchange of fighting. With one episode left to go. I have to wonder if they will catch her or if Ollie will somehow be able to bring her back round to the light side as it were.

Also, we are beginning to see some of the dots connect between the present day and the future elements we have seen in play. It wouldn’t surprise me if the person that Felicity is after in the future winds up being Alena who seems fairly keen to redevelop A.R.C.H.E.R. in the present day, which is acting against Felicity’s wishes if she does.
