Synopsis: A newly determined Talbot takes Coulson to meet the enemy and attempts to avert Earth’s destruction.

Review: Talbot has gone all godlike with his newfound gravitonium powers and is more than happy to show off to Coulson by dispatching a few of the aliens and getting himself a meeting with the coalition of aliens that Hydra has their deal with.

Meanwhile back at the Lighthouse Daisy has returned and has gotten into a bit of a disagreement with Yo-Yo, in fact that team is still somewhat divided over the outcome of recent events because we also see Mack and Fitz have a disagreement over how recent weeks have played out. Mack is very much an idealist and believes it was the wrong move to kill Ruby and resents Fitz and Simmons for having gotten Yo-Yo into it. Fitz, on the other hand, is more pragmatic in saying that sometimes you have to do bad things for the greater good. The two men have been working on the Zephyr in order to make her spaceworthy.

Having retrieved her late mother’s skeleton. Daisy takes it and the bit of technology she was given that could help save Coulson to Simmons. Daisy says the combining her late mothers DNA with the technology is what could save Coulson’s life. Simmons in light of recent events has a few doubts about the ethics of it, but Daisy pretty much orders her to do it.

Back onboard the Alien ship. Talbot has learned much through his meeting with the Alien coalition. Firstly he learned that the plan was never to protect Earth. It was basically to strip the earth of her resources and take off before Thanos came to destroy half the planet. A member of house Cassius tells Talbot of hidden Gravitonium deposits on the Earth, which has Talbot thinking about potentially boosting his powers with more gravitonium so he can take on Thanos

Overall. This is a fantastic episode, which has a few ties to Avengers: Infinity War. The conflict between the various team members of Shield are well written. I’m also liking Dekes continues the storyline and the rather funny moment where he fixes most of the electronics and communications in the Light House then tells an impressed Fitz who tries to give his grandson a high five.

I’m looking forward to seeing how all of this wraps up. Will Shield be able to find a way to extract the gravitonum from Talbot without killing him? And how will they see off the Alien coalition without destroying half the world? Will this season end just prior to the start of Infinity War?
