Hello world! The IndieNet and Beyond column is on a bi-weekly schedule while I’m filming my new web series, but that won’t stop me from starting up this way lighter version with news info from time to time. For now, I have a new teaser trailer for Reality On Demand to show to all of my virtual friends.
Reality On Demand is a new scifi series about four strangers who playtest a highly advance virtual reality game that puts them into their favorite TV shows and movies. But fun turns into dangers when something goes wrong with the game and they are trapped fighting for survival. It’s action, adventure, comedy, scifi, and… zombies. Everyone knows you can’t have a web series without zombies, right?
Our editor, Jarrod, took on the impossible task of throwing together a new teaser trailer in a couple of days for an upcoming film festival. We had only filmed less than half of the season with very little cutting done, so it was a challenge that came out looking like a really fun teaser trailer/opening credits. Will this be the opening credits of the show? No, but it does give you a little peek into the show and the four leads.
Oh, and about that film festival. Our short film Silence of the Belle won two awards: Best Film by Viewers’ Selection and Best Actress in a Comedy Or Drama.
So, please watch and enjoy the new teaser trailer. If you like it, please comment or like the video on YouTube. You can also check out the Facebook page and the official website.
If you have or know of a trailer or web series type of project, please let me know so I can include it in these mini-columns or the much larger IndieNet and Beyond.
Next time…
Next week—same IndieNet day, same IndieNet web address—will be the full IndieNet and Beyond column, with an interview from the writer of a successful science fiction web series that has gotten great support from the Internet community. Who am I talking about? Sorry, you’ll just have to check back and see. (And before you think it: no, it isn’t Felicia Day.)
