Heroes Alliance Make-A-Wish Mothers Day Truck Convoy

Well Done to all of the super heroes, both costumed and truck driving, who made a difference to all of the Wish Kids and their families in attendance!

This past Mother’s Day,  Sunday May 10, 2015, the Pennsylvania branch of the Heroes Alliance volunteered at the 26th Annual Mothers Day Truck Convoy in Lancaster, PA, in order to help make some needy kids and their families Mother’s Day just a bit brighter!

The Mother’s Day Truck Convoy was conceived way back in 1990, when a young man named Matt made a wish to ride in an 18 wheeler and be able to speak to his sister on a truck’s CB radio. Incredibly, over forty trucks and their drivers showed up to grant Matt’s wish on that day.

Amazingly, for the past 24 years, the Mother’s Day Truck Convoy has been held on Mother’s Day in Lancaster, PA. Just as amazing is the fun fact that over the years the number of trucks taking part in the Mother’s Day Truck Convoy has grown to about 450 a year, with over 100 Wish Kids being taken aboard these fabulous rigs as their special passengers.

This year, the Pennsylvania branch of the Heroes Alliance sent Black Widow, The Invisible Woman and Wonder Woman to met up with all of the amazing Wish Kids and their families. These super heroines engaged the Wish Kids, their families, and all of the super hero truckers in attendance in conversations, hugs and support, while posing for photos and doing their best to help make this special day just a bit more incredible than it already is!

SciFi Pulse wishes to say JOB WELL DONE to not only the Heroes Alliance for helping to inspire all in attendance at the 26th Annual Mother’s Day Truck Convoy,  but also to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for their incredible work, as well as to all of the super powered Truck Drivers who make this great event possible and last but not least, all of the Wish Kids and their families who make this great day of selfless giving worthwhile!
