‘Gotham’ Cast Would Like Jim Carrey To Be Riddler’s Dad In Season 3

The 'Gotham' star said, "I would love Jim Carrey to be my father."

Earlier this year ‘Gotham’ tipped its hat to 1992’s ‘Batman Returns’ by having Paul Reubens play The Penguins father. But could more easter eggs be on the way?Riddler

In a recent interview Cory Michael Smith, who plays Edward Nygma on the DC series, told Digital Spy that he wants Jim Carrey to play his character’s father.

As fans will know. Carey played Edward Nigma AKA The Riddler in 1995’s ‘Batman Forever’.

The ‘Gotham’ star said, “I would love Jim Carrey to be my father. I mean, what are the chances? But I’d love it.”

Robin Lord Taylor who plays Penguin has said that he’d like to see Michelle  Pfeiffer to play Selina Kyle’s mother.

“It would be absolutely perfect, because they look exactly alike,” he insisted – and there certainly is a resemblance between a young Pfeiffer and Gotham actress Camren Bicondova

Getting back to Cory Michael Smith. His portrayal of Nigma has taken some dark and sinister turns in Gotham. In fact we are probably now seeing more of the Riddler in Nigma than we were when the show started. And Smith revealed that the transformation is far from complete.

“I don’t know everything that’s going to happen… to force him to don the title. But if you would’ve asked me at the very beginning where I thought Ed would be at the end of season two, I would’ve had no idea!”

The ‘Gotham’ season two finale aired last night on Channel 5 here in the UK and it was certainly game changer with lots of interesting things set up for the third series.

If Jim Carrey is available and if he wants to do it. That’s up to him. Me, I hope Jim Carrey does guest star on “Gotham”. It would be great to see him on TV again.

You won’t get any argument from me on this. I thought his Riddler was one of the brighter parts to what what was one of the poorer Batman Movies.
