Disney & Netflix to partner on live action Star Wars shows

It seems there could be as many as 3 new live action Star Wars shows debuting on Netflix in the future.

It is being reported by various on-line sources including jkagear.com, Makingstarwars.com and Epicstream that there are plans for Disney and Netflix to partner in the future so as to release as many as 3 new live-action original shows set within the Star wars Universe.

While there do not seem to be any indications on which stories, existing plot lines and/or characters are being considered for any future Netflix programming, this is exciting news for Star Wars fans who have shown the true power of the Force with the recent box office Mega success of Episode VII, The Force Awakens.

While Netflix currently streams the animated Star Wars: Clone Wars movie and television show, various sources indicate that the site may also be streaming all of the Star Wars movies at some point in the future.

We can only hope that the Force remains strong between Netflix and Disney, so as to also include future original Star Wars programming, much as is currently being produced between Disney and its Netflix partner in super hero crime. To date, Dare Devil continues to be a huge success for the Netflix, with ongoing and future plans for Marvel (which is owned by Disney) live-action programming  to continue.
