A date has been set for a sequel to this years hit summer movie ‘Jurassic World’.
The film has proved such a monster hit that it surpassed the international box office record set by ‘Avengers Assemble’, which is quite an achievement given that the film had the tough task of reinvigorating a franchise, which was assumed dead. As a result of that ‘Jurassic World’ is now the third highest grossing movie of all time. A spot that it ripped from the jaws of Marvels Heroic team of Avengers.
So it comes as no surprise that a sequel is on the way, but what is surprising is how soon that sequel will come round.
Returning for the sequel will be Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who will likely be armed to the teeth and aided yet again by raptors.
Yesterday Universal Pictures announced that they will be aiming to get a second ‘Jurassic’ movie out on Friday June 22, 2018.
Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow is back in the fold to pen the sequel’s screenplay with Derek Connolly, despite having initially cast doubt on his return to the franchise.
