Terror TV is a free video-on-demand channel debuting on ROKU on August 21, 2018. Based out of Tempe, AZ, Terror TV will stream “Uncut, Unrated and Unreal” independent horror films available to 20 million U.S. Roku users.

In its inaugural run, Terror TV’s content will include independent films from the library of Acort International Distribution, a Terror TV distribution partner. Terror TV is also developing and producing Terror TV original content for Spring 2019. Its first two Terror TV Originals will be executive produced by Joel Eisenberg and Steve Hillard’s Council Tree Productions: the reality-based Terror Talk, featuring personalities from the world of horror, science fiction and fantasy, and Shadow Show, a spinoff of the bestselling horror anthology and IDW comic, Shadow Show: All-New Stories in Celebration of Ray Bradbury, edited by Mort Castle. The Bradbury name will not be affiliated with the new program.

Telecom investor Stephen Hillard formed television development company Council Tree Productions with writer-producer Joel Eisenberg in 2017. Hillard, President of private equity investment firm Council Tree Investors, has invested in and advised on transactions totaling over $10 billion, including control of Telemundo, for which his company invested $181 million in 2000, and numerous major telecom transactions. As writers, Stephen and Joel are currently penning the multi-volume The Chronicles of Ara fantasy novels. As producers, they are developing several projects including Farway Canyon, with Anthony (Sharknado) Ferrante directing, and Mirkwood, based on Hillard’s controversial novel about J.R.R. Tolkien, directed by Deborah Pratt, co-creator of Quantum Leap.

“We have numerous horror projects on the table,” says Eisenberg, who was formerly attached to TNT’s paused Tales from the Crypt reinvention. “Teaming with startup Terror TV is the type of opportunity we strive for, and we hope the beginning of a bold new partnership for original horror programming.”

Darrin Ramage, owner of Terror TV, is best-known as the brainchild of Brain Damage Films, a horror film production and distribution company, whose library was acquired by Acort International.

Terror TV will stream HD quality films and television programs. The channel, launching on U.S. Roku systems, has contracted industry veteran Attila Juhasz to serve as the Social Media and Marketing Manager. A web pioneer, Juhasz launched the first commercial genre web site in the 1990s and later produced Zombie Squash, the mobile game featuring the voice talents of George A. Romero, the iconic director of Night of the Living Dead.
