‘Arrow’ Continues ‘Spartacus Crossover with Nick Tarabay

He’ll meet his nemesis when The Flash, Barry Allen, comes to Starling City for a major crossover event.

Gratitude! Entertainment Weekly reports that the Spartacus crossover will continue on Arrow. Nick Tarabay, who played the villainous slave Ashur in the Starz period drama, will now play the villainous Digger Harkness/Captain Boomerang.

In DC Comics lore, Digger Harkness (no relation to John Barrowman’s Captain Jack) is a recurring foe of the Flash whose signature weapons are specialized boomerangs that he wields with incredible skill. On the page, he has also been associated with the Suicide Squad. On Arrow, Harkness will be a former A.R.G.U.S operative, highly skilled in martial arts and espionage, with a deadly thirst for vengeance against his former employers.

Captain Boomerang is taking on the Arrow in the seventh episode of the season. In the eighth episode, he’ll meet his nemesis when The Flash, Barry Allen, comes to Starling City for a major crossover event. Spartacus fans can also hope for a meta crossover when Nick Tarabay’s Captain Boomerang confronts his former boss Amanda Waller, played by fellow Spartacus alumna Cynthia Addai-Robinson. Hopefully, hell survive long enough to also encounter other Spartacus alums Katrina Law (Nyssa al Ghul) and Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson/Deathstroke).
