Model turned actress Vanessa Williams is to join the cast of TNT’s hit series ‘The Librarians’ for its third season, which will get under way later this year.
Williams will play the recurring role of General Rockwell, who is the tough and brilliant head of the top secret, black ops secret government agency, known as D.O.S.A. Investigating “Statistical Anomalies,” Williams’ character sets her sights on apprehending the Librarians and obtaining the magical artifacts contained in the Library.
The third season of the hit fantasy series will see the Librarians go up against a new antagonist. Which shows up in the form of D.O.S.A. — The Department of Statistical Anomalies — whose mission is to apprehend the Librarians and take control of the Library and all the magical artefacts held within it.
Over the course of her career Vanessa Williams has enjoyed a good mix of roles, but she is perhaps best loved for the role of Wilhelmina Slater in ‘Ugly Betty’, which very much sent up the fashion world, which started Williams career off. Her latest television roles have been an arc on ‘The Good Wife’ and a guest episode of ‘Broad City.’ She also starred on ‘Desperate Housewives’ and the short lived ‘666 Park Avenue.’
The third season of ‘The Librarians’ will premier some time in the Autumn on TNT and will likely hit the UK’s Syfy Channel a littler later on. No official launch date for the show has yet been confirmed on either side of the Atlantic, but you can be sure that we will let you know when a date is set.
