Trek Alum Nicholas Meyer to write for new Series

Fan hopes are high with news of Meyer's appointment to the Trek writing team.

The recently appointed show runner for the upcoming Star Trek series being created for CBS All Access, Bryan Fuller, has just announced that former Star Trek writer, Nicholas Meyer will be joining the new show’s writing staff, while also taking on the role of consulting producer.

While the new Star Trek show is planned to launch in early 2017, the direction which the series will take is still unknown, but it would seem that fan hopes are quite high with Meyer’s appointment to the Trek team being readily praised by fan and professional alike throughout social media.

Most fans will of coarse know Meyer best as the director and co-writer of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, as well as Star Trek:The Voyage Home , along with Star Trek: The Undiscovered country.
