The popular ‘Vampire Diaries’ spinoff ‘The Originals’ is set to sink its fangs into a second season and it looks like things are getting a bit tetchy.

A new trailer for the shows second season has been released and it shows Klaus approaches his former protégé Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to gather an army for war.

The teaser also hints at the return of Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) father, while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) fights her instincts.

It was recently revealed that ‘Devious Maids‘ Colin Woodell would join the cast of ‘The Originals‘ for the shows second season.

Woodell has been cast as a “badass” werewolf named Aiden in a recurring role.

The Originals returns on Monday, October 6 on The CW.
