Additionally, GreenArrowTV provided pertinent quotes from and a link to Stephen Amell’s most recent Facebook Q&A…
“Time has passed,” Amell revealed. “Like the standard amount of time. Like, we go in real-time, like we normally do. So, about five or six months have passed since the finale.”
Did his jaw drop? “Yes. Twice,” he confirmed. “Both in Act… that’s too much. Twice, though, it did,” he said. “I [texted] Marc Guggenheim directly after reading the season four premiere with three or four very pointed questions. Which he answered. Mostly.”
Also on this video: Stephen says he’s not sure if he’ll make it to Comic-Con in July, because of the increasingly smaller amount of time between finishing TMNT2 and starting Arrow. But, he hopes to make it. He also reveals the first Arrow cast member that he ever met.
Speaking at Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con, John Barrowman had his own hints to drop according to Digital Spy…
“We start filming in July, season four — I just finalized my deal about a week ago,” he said. “I’m very excited about going back, I can’t tell you anything because I do know a bit about what’s going to happen.”
He went on to tease: “But if you love Malcolm Merlyn, if you love Oliver Queen, if you love Thea Queen, if you love the Canary sisters, and I say that with a bit of a twist and a joke in it, you’re going to love what’s going to happen across the DC world.”
TVLine had this to say about one new recurring character on Arrow…
Is it October yet? Dying for some Arrow scoop! –Catarina
I can’t let good Arrow fans up and die, now, can I? In the second episode of Season 4, the CW hit will introduce the heavily recurring character of a twentysomething African American male who is a technological savant on par with Ms. Smoak. Maybe during Felicity and Oliver’s romantic retreat, Thea/Diggle/Laurel had to recruit a new computer whiz via Craigslist…? UPDATE: Or better, as readers have suggested, he’s Felicity’s H.I.V.E. counterpart/adversary?
TVLine had this to say about a second recurring character on Arrow…
Question: Got anything on Arrow? —April
Ausiello: The show is getting around to filling Starling City’s mayoral vacancy (R.I.P., Celia Castle). Producers are looking for a fiftysomething actress to play Patty, a candidate for mayor and a longtime friend of Moira’s; as such, she was once close with Oliver and Thea. Here’s some noisy spitballing from Mitovich: “Hey, maybe Moira once confided in Patty that she years ago paid off Oliver’s baby mama to leave town…?” Thanks, MM. Check’s in the mail.
TVLine also put a Hawkgirl rumor to rest…
Question: I’ve been hearing rumors that The CW is developing a Hawkgirl series. Any scoop on how that will affect Legends of Tomorrow? —Melanie B
Ausiello: It will have minimal impact on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and here’s why: There’s no Hawkgirl series in development at The CW, according to a network spokesperson.
TVLine also reported that the series in which Hawkgirl will appear has a new showrunner. he CW’s forthcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff has enlisted former Tomorrow People boss Phil Klemmer. Legends reunites Klemmer with fellow Tomorrow People EP Greg Berlanti.
Deadline reported that James Frain will be one half of Gotham’s season 2 dynamic duo of villainy…
EXCLUSIVE: With Fish Mooney out of the picture (at least for now), Gotham will be introducing a new formidable villainous duo in Season 2: Theo Galavan and his sister, Tabitha, who will go on to become DC Comics super-villain Tigress. James Frain (The Tudors, True Blood) has been cast in one of the two new regular roles on the Fox series. He will play billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan. A new Gotham arrival, Galavan is the savior the city has been waiting for — he is sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha (yet to be cast). But behind Galavan’s altruism is a centuries-old vendetta. Galavan and Tabitha (aka Tigress) will take chaos and violence to a new level in order to bleed Gotham. Their plan will lead to the creation of new villains… and the destruction of others.
