Synopsis: The Mandalorian must ferry a passenger with precious cargo on a risky journey.
Picking up from last week’s adventure. The Mandalorian is ambushed while on his way back to Mos Eisley and meet with Peli Motto. Mando dispatches his ambushes fairly easily and arrives at the spaceport just in time to take on a mission.
Peli Motto learns that there is a group of Mandalorians settled in a nearby system and her friend. A frog-like Alien can tell Mando where it is and will do so in exchange for passage to the neighboring system.
With a passenger in his hold who happens to be carrying a tank full of her eggs. Mando must safely ferry them to Trask. But his job is made harder by having to keep the child away from Frog Ladies eggs as well as steering clear of the New Republic.
Pedro Pascal continues to carry the series with a confident vocal performance and is more than up for the challenge. The scenes between Mandalorian and Peli Motto at the start of the episodes are a lot of fun and this is thanks in no small part to Amy Sedaris who has perfect comedy timing for the role.
Misty Rosas gives a fantastic physical performance as the Frog Lady.
While not quite as fun as last week’s episode. This week’s story does provide some comedy as we see The Child sneakily stealing Frog Ladies eggs and eating them. As far as action goes. We get a fun bit of Dogfighting as The Razor Crest has to somehow outmaneuver two X-Wing Fighters. Added to that is a great sequence where The Childs’s appetite for eggs gets the group into some trouble with a bunch of ice spiders and a very angry mother.
Overall. A fun episode, which leaves things with The Razor Crest limping its way to a new star system.
