Season two of Star Trek: Picard will premiere on Thursday, March 3, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode-long second season will drop weekly on Thursdays, they stated. So, lets talk about a few things going on, and crank up the excitement! There’s also another huge reveal that we’ll also be discussing, too . . .
Trailer Excitement
We’ve already given our response to the initial Picard – Season 2 trailer. That was back in September (2021), last year, when it dropped. We saw that John De Lancie was reprising his role as Q. In this most recent trailer, we get a little more insight into his role in things. From what we can see he’ll be pivotal to things. It seems that he chooses to thrust Picard (Patrick Stewart) back to a pivotal moment in Earth’s history. Exactly why that is, we aren’t sure. However, it’s the return of another important character that has us all pumped . . .
Guinan . . .
Guinan is back! We see in the new trailer that Whoopi Golderberg is reprising her role as the iconic character. Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) and Q (John De Lancie) have a history. It was only ever hinted at in TNG. Consequently, we may get to discover more in Picard – Season 2. What does seem clear is that Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) once again needs the help of (literally) his oldest friend. Her return is sure to please fans and pose a good many questions in the time leading up to the debut episode of Picard – Season 2. Until then we’ll all just have to wait for them to answered! Just like you SciFiPulse will be eagerly counting the days now . . .
