Flicks and The City have been rocking it with their coverage of SDCC 2016 and posted some highlights from the ‘Luke Cage’ panel.

During this panel Mike Colter talks about how much it means to him as a black man to play Luke Cage and goes onto talk a little about how much the character has always resonated with him as a comics fan.

Alfre Woodard, who we all know for her star turn in ‘Star Trek: First Contact’ had some great praise for the shows writing.

Mike Colter, Alfre Woodard, Theo Rossi, Simone Missick, Mahershala Ali and Cheo Coker all took part in the panel, which gave a few hints about the tone of the series.

You can check out these great highlights below:

The series will premier on Netflix on September 30.
