‘Firefly’ and ‘Castle’ star Nathan Fillion is apparently gearing up for a new role in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2’.
This will be the second time the actor has played a role in the movie franchise. The first was in the original film in which he played a hulking prison mate who takes on Starlord and his crew.
This time round though he’ll be playing a hero.
New broke via a fake poster, which included Fillion’s face in the guise of the Marvel Comics character Simon Williams.
For those not in the know. Simon Williams is the alter ego of Wonder Man, a flying, energy-blasting SHIELD agent and former Avenger.
As an ultimate in-joke, Simon apparently gains fame in the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing heroes Iron Man and Arkon in Hollywood movies.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper are all back for Vol 2 as the universe’s rag-tag guardians – and they’ll be joined by newcomers Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff and Elizabeth Debicki.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ arrives in UK cinemas on April 28, 2017 and in the US on May 5, 2017.
