There’s only one Obi-Wan! Currently, we’re seeing the Ewan McGregor incarnation of the character appear weekly, in the new Star Wars series, Obi-Wan. Our reviews of Obi-Wan are available now, to read now. For older fans, they’ll still remember the late, legendary Alec Guiness as the original Jedi. He certainly made an impression and left a powerful legacy. We hope to honour him in this poem.
The Wan and Only
The first Jedi
we ever saw
who taught us things
worth fighting for
Known as old Ben
he hid away,
until he came
to save the day
On Tatooine
he met young Luke;
fate was decreed —
it was no fluke . . .
He faced Vader,
his final fight,
then he became
made of pure light
Helping Luke to
his destiny,
he’s truly the
Wan and only!

You really can’t defeat the spirit of the wise Jedi-Master. If you try then he’ll “Come back more powerful than you can ever imagine”, as he stated himself! It’s great to have the iconic character back in Star Wars, even if it’s on the small screen. We’re yet to see those much awaited light-saber battle scenes, but surely we will soon! See you next Friday, dear readers. May the force (and verse) be with you! . . .
