Many people looked at Tom Hiddleston’s Loki as a villain. He definitely misbehaved, especially in The Avengers (2012). Fortunately, Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) usually able to keep him in check. Loki showed though, that he’s not all bad, In Thor Ragnarok. He deserves credit for that, at least, as well this tribute from us.

Loki’s Blues

The naughty horned one gives a yelp,

as Thor declares the plan: “get help”

“Why must I be the one”, he says,

“who has to bend to your willed ways?”

So, on the floor Loki resides;

such fun Thor almost splits his sides

“Get help”, shrieks Thor, as Loki groans,

“I think he’s broken many bones”.

Thor’s smug about this clever plan,

whilst poor Loki carries the can.

“Come on, that bad, Loki, is it?”

“Well next time, brother, do this bit!”

“You wonder why I misbehave –

you always get to claim ‘the save’.

You don’t see I’m the hero, too;

so, I get mad, and then turn blue!” . . .

He’s not a bad sort, after all. Loki’s a very interesting character and one of the MCU’s best. We can’t wait to see him make his comeback, however that might be. It’s not really fair to blame him for the occasional bit of skullduggery. He is the god of mischief! Catch us next week on May The Verse Be With You for another fun poem!
