Here ‘s, our Shang-Chi festive song. It’s this year’s last seasonal special, and the last poem of the year too, from May The Verse Be With You. This offering is very much based on the Shang-Chi as depicted by Simu Liu. Subsequently, earlier in the year we reviewed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. And, what a movie – but if you prefer the comic version, then sing it as that instead!
A Tao Lo Christmas
Opening Chorus
We wish you a Tao Lo Christmas (X3)
and a mystical year!
Verse I
Glad tidings from me, Shang Chi
and Katy,
we wish you a Tao Lo Christmas
and a mystical year!
We stopped the dweller in darkness (X3)
and now live in light!
Verse II
Trevor wishes you, so does Morris too,
A very merry Tao Lo Christmas
And a mystical year!
Oh gosh now I’m an Avenger (X3),
so must fight the good fight!
Chorus . . .
Verse III
The Great Protector sends
blessings to you
and reminds you to make sure
that your heart stays true!
We Wish you a Tao Lo Christmas . . .

If you haven’t noticed, then our Shang-Chi festive song is to the tune of traditional ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’. It’s always fun to rewrite classics! Why not have a go yourself? You could add an extra verse or two, for example, if you wanted. But if not, then just enjoy this version, as the hard work’s already been done for you! Have a truly mystical New Year dear readers – and a very happy 2022!
