This is the dawning of the Age of Ultron. With ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ hitting theaters this week and next (in the US), with critics already loving it, the biggest buzz seems to be around the MCU outside of it.
Finally, some real news on the far-off ‘Captain Marvel’ movie! Marvel has hired Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve to write the story of Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel.
Perlman was co-writer of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ and LeFauve recently co-wrote the upcoming Disney-Pixar movie, ‘Inside Out.‘
Captain Marvel is slated to be in theaters November 2, 2018.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
We thought having Inhumans was the big deal of the season, yet there is much more going on than meets the eyeless guy. Seeds of ‘Marvel’s Civil War,’ which will come to fruition in the next ‘Captain America’ installment, have been planted in the last several episodes, and we’re beginning to see it sprout.
Now there are rumors that at least one spin-off series is being pondered. A spinoff featuring Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) may be in the offing. The offshoot was developed by S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski, who are writing the script and would executive produce.
There is also talk about a series featuring Kamala Khan, AKA Ms. Marvel.
Doug Petrie, who wrote some of the best episodes of ‘Daredevil,’ will be showrunner of Season 2, along with Marco Ramirez, as Steven S. DeKnight exits.
