Next year’s big film from Marvel Studios will be ‘Captain America: Civil War’, which already has fans excited.
But readers of Marvel Comics will likely be talking about the second Marvel Civil war in conjunction with release of the film, which is loosely based on the first Civil War comic book event.
As well as its third ’Captain America’ film, the publisher will be releasing a new comic about Iron Man and Cap coming to blows, and now we know the creative team too.
Marvel mainstay Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez – who are currently working on ‘Invincible Iron Man’ – will be tackling the sequel to the hit 2006 event, according to a calendar sent out by Marvel (via ComicBook.com).
The above image shows Tony Stark coming to blows with the current Captain America (and former Falcon) Sam Wilson.
At present no release date has been reported for the comic, but I’d imagine that Marvel will most likely try and release in conjunction with the movie because that only makes good marketing sense.
