‘Game Of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams has expressed her interest in playing the role of Ellie in the forthcoming movie adaptation of the hit Playstation game series ‘The Last Of Us’.
“The Last of Us movie is in very early days,” Williams said during a Reddit AMA today (January 30).
“I have spoken to powerful people who are getting The Last of Us on its feet. And I’m hopeful that I can play Ellie in the future, but we’ll all have to wait and see.”
This would be a great role for the actress who not only has the necessary requirements for the role, but also shares a likeness with the video game character from the game.
The Last of Us movie will be ‘pretty faithful’ to the PlayStation blockbuster, according to writer Neil Druckmann.
The film will be produced in collaboration with Sam Raimi, who is best known for his work on the original ‘Evil Dead’ movies and of course the ‘Spider-Man’ movies.
