The Legendary John Hurt has passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
The British Actor made a huge name for himself with fans of science fiction with roles in films such as ‘Alien’ and ‘V For Vendetta’ as well as ‘Harry Potter’ and lots more.
The actors television work included a brief stint on ‘Doctor Who’ in which he played The War Doctor. A role he got to continue on in the Big Finish series of the same name. He also voiced the part of the Dragon in the hit BBC series ‘Merlin’.
Hurts none science fiction work saw him take on a diverse mix of roles such as John Merrick in ‘The Elephant Man’ to Quentin Crisp in ‘The Naked Civil Servant’.
John Hurt had a distinctive voice, which was instantly recognisable and was one of the UK’s most diverse actors. Over his 60 year career the actor pretty much played a great many roles and managed to stay relevant over many decades.
