Jim Beaver Returning To ‘Supernatural’

Bobby Singer returning to 'Supernatural' to aid the boys in an old case.

Jim Beaver who played the extremely popular Bobby Singer in ‘Supernatural’ is returning to the series later in the current season for a one shot episode.

According to TV Line the story will involve flashbacks as Dean and Sam re-open an old case that was initially investigated by Bobby and his hunting partner Rufus. Jeremy Carver explains:

“[Dean and Sam] are going to be investigating an old case that was once investigated by Bobby and Rufus… There’s a lot of great throwbacks to things that happened [during season five].”

Carver adds that the script partly focuses on “the wonderful relationship between Bobby and Rufus”.

Of course this means that Steven Williams will also be reprising his role as Rufus in the episode.

Bobby was last seen in season 10, breaking out of his own Heaven temporarily to help Sam.

‘Supernatural’ airs on The CW in the US and on E4 in the UK. Of course with the UK being over a year behind. We here will have to wait a little longer for the episode, but way  in which E4 seems to be burning through episodes. It looks like we could see it sooner than we think.
