Jeffrey Dean Morgan cast as Negan in Walking Dead

The Introduction of Negan could spell war for the survivors of the zombie apocalypse.

It can now be reported as official and with certainty that the much anticipated and upcoming villain of AMC’s The Walking Dead, Negan, has indeed been cast.

Perhaps best known for his previous comic book related projects such as The Watchmen and The Losers, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, will be introduced to the millions of ravenous Walking Dead fans as Negan in the season six finale, which will be directed by the show’s executive producer and special effects make-up guru, Greg Necotero.

The introduction of this nasty character also brings with it a great deal of speculation and even dread for many a fan of The Walking Dead because within Robert Kirkman’s comic book universe, Negan is in fact responsible for the death of at least two major and fan favorite characters; Glenn and Abraham.

So it seems that while the current fate of Glenn (Steven Yuen) on the AMC mega zombie hit show is still in question, the speculation would seem to be that the much loved character is potentially still alive but the question might be; to what end!?

Will Glenn be sparred only to be brutally murdered by Negan at the sacrificial alter of The Walking Dead? Only time will tell, but this much is certain, the Wolves have only just begun to be a pain in the proverbial butt for Rick and the residents of the Alexandria safe zone.

The coming introduction of Negan and his signature barbed wire wrapped baseball bat will in fact mark the beginning of what will in essence be war between the upcoming group of communities soon be introduced on The Walking Dead and Negan’s marauding Wolves!
